March Sunset

Most people don’t believe me when I tell them that March is the snowiest month in Colorado.  March is that crazy month that could bring 5 feet of snow or a 70 degree day.  Occasionally, it brings both in the same week. Since I had my fill of snow in Boston during January and February, I’m hoping that March brings more days like this one.

After finishing the days work, I was itching to get out and enjoy the last rays of sunshine.  I almost left my camera at home since I planned to walk around the park by my house which isn’t the most beautiful park in the world.  (Or maybe I just think that because it’s so familiar.)  I took the camera along anyway and decided to make myself find some beauty in the walk. And I did! Although, I probably looked like a crazy woman as I ventured off the paved sidewalks and crawled around in the shrubs and bushes.

I love March because it’s so unpredictable.  I love how you can feel spring coming, even though you can’t see the trees blooming or the grass turning green.  I love that it holds the promise of warmer weather and the end of winter.  I love the longer days. I love that I can go skiing up in the mountains where the snow is plentiful and come back to Denver and have dinner outside on my porch.
