I finished my latest knitting project yesterday! I was so excited to share it here with you that I stayed up late creating the PDF pattern, formatting pictures and loading all the files online.
My latest creation is called the Sand Cable Baby Blanket. I made it for a friend’s little boy who is due in November.
Here are some of the things I love about this blanket:
- Very easy pattern (for those of you who downloaded my first pattern, this one is MUCH easier)
- Knits up quickly
- The modal/cotton blend yarn is super soft and very easy to work with

What you’ll need:
- Size 7 US circular needles
- 10 skeins (~750 yards) of Knit Picks Shine Worsted yarn (cotton/modal blend that is machine washable)
- Cable needle
- The pattern
For a limited time, you can buy this pattern for only $2.50! I want to reward my loyal blog readers with a special price on the blanket, so you have the opportunity to buy it at 50% off until Sunday, October 16th, 2011.

Beautiful pattern! Awesome application of this cable for a clean, elegant design.
Thanks, Vashte!
That is so pretty, love the pattern.
Thank you, Lorraine!
Is the color French Blue? I’m following your lead as I have little experience and color is key!
